Tangled never drew a real emotion out except a happy feeling, but Toy Story made me excited, anxious, sad, happy again, and then it turned me into a blubbering idiot. Toy Story followed my life (childhood to college age fyi) and I’m totally okay that it won. The song is catchy and makes me want to dance. :)
THANK YOU! Toy Story was the first movie I ever saw in theaters, and Toy Story 3 was such an emotional roller coaster. I’ll flat out say, I love Tangled, but I did not feel like crying during it. Nor did I feel like I was on the edge of my seat (but it’s still one of my favorite movies ever.) Toy Story 3, although I didn’t cry, I came VERY VERY VERY close to it. And it’s also another one of my favorite movies. It was hard to be mad that Tangled didn’t win when I was excited that TS won.
KING’S SPEECH <3 Had to let that out. All the Best Picture nominees deserved it, I’m sure. I only so half of them :/ But, out of those five I feel King’s Speech was the most remarkable. It was touching and heartfelt. The acting in it was beyond superb and don’t even get me started on the…
I was so confused when they called Toy Story an adapted screenplay.
And I need an Oscar too. Let’s write a screenplay. We’ll be at the Oscars next year.
(And I totally do that every time I see Jeff Bridges, too. TOBUSCUS.)
The river is made of hydrogen sulfide. As hydrogen sulfide is much denser than water, it stays at the bottom and creates its own river. However, hydrogen sulfide is classified as a level 4 in the MSDS, and is very dangerous. Definitely not something you want to go take a dip in.
I need to go to bed. I promised my friend that I would drive her to her neurology test tomorrow. I agreed to this BEFORE I knew I’d have to pick her up at 8 am. OH WELL. It’ll be nice to see her again :]
You’re my World Series and Superbowl mixed together. Tonight, instead of being kicked off the nice TV in the living room so my family could watch a sport, I kicked THEM off so I could watch the Oscars. It’s a great feeling.
Day And Night is definitely my hope too! It deserves it! I just didnt want the post to be too long and I didn't want to feel obligated to include them all. Haha. But yes. I am SO stoked for the Oscars :D
When I saw it, I was like, “This short is strangely deep.”
I say “ish” cause they’re subject to change. There is an excellent chance I am wrong in EVERYTHING. Except animated film. That I’ve got.
But I’d say my guesses are decent. I’ll be more definite this time.
Best Picture: King’s Speech*. (Other top contenders: Black Swan and The Social Network)
These are pretty much my predictions, too. Toy Story is obviously going to win Animated Feature. I mean, How to Train Your Dragon? Toy Story was waaaaay better! But for short film (which you didn’t pick one for probably because it isn’t one of the major categories) I’m hoping ‘Day and Night’ will win.
I’m super excited for Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore’s performance, but it’s not the only reason I’m watching (I know a ton of people who are.) I love the Oscars and I was SO PISSED when I had to work on Oscar night last year. NO WORK THIS YEAR! Only Oscars.
